Kirby Lam

Dr. Kirby Lam

Dr. Kirby Lam graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2002. He practiced in Detroit and Windsor for four years and has been practicing in Kingston since 2006.

Dr. Lam has been awarded for excellence in contact lens care and has also received an award from the United States Department of Health and Human Services for Preventative Health Care Initiatives. He has been part of an eye care mission to Honduras providing eye care services to the underprivileged and is looking forward to doing similar eye missions in the future.

Dr. Lam believes that patient education is the key to great eye care.

Kirby is a proud husband and father to two sons.

Louis Blanchette

Dr. Louis Blanchette

Dr. Louis Blanchette graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry and has practiced in Kingston since 2003.

Dr. Blanchette lives in Kingston with his wife and three sons.

Elena Macleod

OPTOMETRIST

Dr. Elena Macleod

Dr. Elena Macleod graduated from Ecole D’Optométrie, Université de Montréal. She successfully started and ran an Optometry clinic in Cambridge, Ontario for 7 years. In 2002, she sold her practice to move to Kingston with her husband and now they are the proud and busy parents of two sons.

Dr. Macleod welcomes patients of all ages and is pleased to offer eye examinations in both English and French.

Kristen Vanderluit

Dr. Kristen Vanderluit

Dr. Kristen Vanderluit was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia before attending Queen’s University in Kingston for her undergraduate degree.

She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in Boston, Massachusetts. NECO gave her the opportunity to receive extensive clinical training in ocular diseases (glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus, etc.), primary eye care, pediatric eye care, specialty contact lenses fittings, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Vanderluit believes that routine eye exams are an important part of preventative health care. This includes early detection of nearsightedness in children by implementing myopia management. She is certified to prescribe both Paragon CRT® lenses and MiSight® 1 day soft contact lenses.

Dr. Vanderluit is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) with the ability to prescribe Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPAs). She is also licensed by the Ontario College of Optometrists and a member of both the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO) and the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO).
